About Brown Rice, 玄米, 糙米
What can a bowl of brown rice do you good? They have the same amount of carbs that white rice can provide you with. However, with additional "Zen"-like smell you can only find in some of the teas that calm your mind and body, and also the texture that gives you fullness.
Now, half of my meals consist of brown rice. I am still figuring out the way to make it smoother and stickier, so that it can retain the stickiness of the white rice that I like while having all the benefits of brown rice.
According to experience, ratio of brown rice to water should be 2:1 and need longer time to boil.
I only know that Brown Rice is full of health benefits. Not too sure about the details... Perhaps this can be a reference:
